I grew up in the suburbs—a wondrous place equally devoid of authentic nature and the buzzing electricity of a big city.
Despite the endlessly boring rows of houses, it was (ironically) nature and the city that became the two most significant influences on my creative journey.
Whether it was the snowy peaks that my ski-crazy father hauled me to or the weekends I spent roaming the downtown core, it was in these places that I uncovered my passion for capturing moments and sharing them with others.
I’ve always wanted to evoke emotion in people through my storytelling, and the mediums of photo and video soon became my habitual tools to accomplish that goal.
To continue honing my skills and become a more well-rounded artist, I chose to study toward a Creative Industries B.A. at Ryer… *ahem* Toronto Metropolitan University in the heart of our country’s largest city.
In my 3rd year, I was blessed with the experience of interning as a creative at a local marketing agency. While at this agency, I discovered that the marketing world was my ideal creative outlet. A place where I would have the ability to collaborate with wildly talented creatives and tell stories to millions of people. A place where no two days were ever the same. A place where ideas and ingenuity were encouraged to run free.
Content with my newly established career path, I now aim to forge my way through the wild wild world of agency life.
